I forget where I read or heard this recently. But someone pointed out how new the internet is, in terms of human society. It's only been around for ~40 years. There are people who lived longer without the internet than with it. We're still in the early stages of incorporating internet into our culture. To me, crypto is an extension of internet technology - maybe its a fad or maybe its also still in its early phase trying to figure out how it properly incorporates into society
