Pizza is Extremely Overrated
I’ll say it again for those in the back; Overrated
Is that photo truly appetizing to you? Maybe if I hadn’t eaten in over 12 hours I would savor over it. But on a normal day, no thank you.
I’m likely in the minority with this thinking. Especially being from New Jersey with our large Italian descendent population and a local pizza place every mile. (Seriously, NJ has over 2,000 pizzerias!) I don’t think pizza is that good, yet people eat it all the time.
To begin with, it’s just glorified bread with cheese and sauce on top. If you take the time to look at your next slice, you’ll see there’s not much to it. There’s a bunch of dough, some sauce spread on, and cheese to top it off. It’s not like it's some complicated divine recipe.
I understand pizza gets better as you start putting toppings on it. Toppings give it some flavor. For those who are fans of pepperoni, it makes sense. You are very limited with the options of other foods you can put pepperoni on and it’ll taste good still. But something like buffalo chicken, wouldn’t it taste better and be healthier just to eat some buffalo chicken on its own?
